To achieve these kinds of images of the Sun, one must have a telescope (or a module) that provides Hα (Hydrogen-alpha) wavelengths and a mono camera to record with.

A certain program is used to stack the best parts of the recorded frames to provide the astronomer an image which then can be enhanced and edited by its liking.
